Adriana Aviles threw out the ceremonial first pitch to her dad, Mike, at a Cleveland Indians game in August.

Adriana Aviles, the 5-year-old daughter of Tigers infielder Mike Aviles, is cancer-free, he announced Thursday afternoon as the team started pouring into Lakeland, Florida, for spring training.

“Everything’s going well with her. She had a bone marrow transplant in December, she’s recovering,” Aviles told MLB.com.

“She’ll be out here in a couple weeks when she’s allowed to fly. And she’s cancer-free and going forward.”

Adriana was diagnosed with leukemia last May when Aviles was with Cleveland.

Many of the infielder’s teammates and coaches shaved their heads in unity with Adriana and made “Team Adriana” shirts.

The Indians also kept Aviles at the trade deadline, despite being out of contention, so he wouldn’t have to leave or move his family.

A free agent after 2016, Aviles signed a one-year, $ 2 million contract with the Tigers and took his family home to Utah, where Adriana moved her care to Primary Children’s Hospital in Salt Lake City.

“It’s a blessing, not only as a teammate, but as a friend. When you spend so much time together, it becomes a family,” said new teammate Michael Brantley.

“To hear that news, and obviously I was keeping up with him this offseason and I knew everything was going well, but it’s a great day and a great time to hear that.”
